Fidalgo Pool and Fitness Center is reintroducing Aquatic Group Fitness beginning Monday, March 1, 2021. Class size is limited. Advance reservation is required.
Aqua Evolution is a 45-minute moderate-vigorous Interval style aquatic group fitness class that focuses on regaining and maintaining strength, mobility, balance, and cardiorespiratory fitness. H2O Fit & Flow
H2O Fit & Flow is a low-moderate workout that offers modifications to fit all fitness levels and abilities. Learn to strengthen your cardiorespiratory and muscular systems, improve flexibility, balance, and memory without the impact on your joints that you may experience on land. Groove to the music you love while you improve your ability to do the everyday, functional activities for life on land!
Waves utilizes the wonders of the water to improve flexibility and build strength and energy while toning muscles. Participants will increase endurance without stressing bones and joints using body movement and aquatic fitness equipment.
Breaststroke, backstroke, butterfly or free…get your swimming workout in our lap lanes during designated Lap Swim times. See our written and visual schedules for times and lane allocations.
This is a multi-purpose pool time including but not limited to lap swimming, water walking, group & personal water exercise & swim lessons.
Use the natural resistance and buoyancy of water against your body to provide a wide variety of conditioning. Water’s natural buoyancy, resistance, cooling effect and decreased joint impact make it an ideal exercise medium for seniors.
Get a great cycling workout in the water with one of our Hydrorider Aqua Bikes.
- Cross train in the water when the weather is rainy and cold
- Great pre-knee replacement prep (with doctor recommendation)
- Use the power and pressure of the water to reduce inflammation while increasing cardio-respiratory fitness
Check with the Lifeguard on deck about availability. Lifeguard will place and remove bikes from the water.
