The Fidalgo Park and Recreation District is seeking a community member to fill an open position on its Board of Commissioners. This is an opportunity to help guide important decisions about the future of our 51-year-old community facility.
To Apply:
- Must be a registered voter residing within the Fidalgo Park and Recreation District.
- Submit a letter of interest describing why you wish to serve and how your experience would benefit the Board.
- Include your voting address.
- Email your letter to Cindy Marvin at cindy4fidalgo@gmail.com by September 8, 2026.
Applicants will be invited to meet with the Board on September 15, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at the Fidalgo Pool and Fitness Center.
The appointed commissioner will serve through at least November 2027, when the position will appear on the ballot. Board service requires approximately 6-10 hours per month and is unpaid, though necessary expenses are reimbursed.
