We’re excited to announce that Fidalgo Pool & Fitness Center (FPFC) has been awarded two generous grants from Step Into Swim and the Association of Aquatics Professionals (AOAP)—supporting our mission to make swimming safer and more accessible for all!
We are incredibly grateful to both organizations for their support and commitment to aquatic safety and inclusion. Together, we’re making a lasting impact in our community!
Step Into Swim Grant
This funding will help us grow our Adaptive Swim Lesson Program, designed for students with autism, anxiety, sensory and physical challenges, and more. Lessons are led by a Swim Angelfish Certified Instructor, ensuring a compassionate and tailored approach to learning water safety and swimming skills.
AOAP Lifejacket Grant
Thanks to AOAP, FPFC has received 25 lifejackets that will be distributed to local elementary-aged children in our school district. This giveaway is part of our Water Safety Education Initiative, aimed at educating students and their families about the importance of being safe in, on, and around the water.
