SilverSneakers® ♥ to ♥♥

A fitness program developed by HEALTHWAYS, is a long term, cost effective and preventative managed care solution. SilverSneakers® is a unique exercise, physical activity and social oriented program designed to encourage Medicare eligible members, often burdened by multiple chronic conditions, to increase their levels of physical activity and motivate them to continue to be active. The program is the leading senior exercise program in the United States.

The District is excited to offer this program to all seniors within our community. You don’t have to be a member of SilverSneakers® to participate. Just a desire to challenge yourself to feel better.

SilverSneakers® – Classic

Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercise designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance, and a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

$4.25 Special

A special time for a special price. Use the fitness equipment from 12:00 until 1:00 pm for only $4.25 M-F.

Strength and Conditioning ♥♥ to ♥♥♥

Begin with a 10 minute warm-up cardio program, then get ready to really workout!  Weights, elastic bands, stability balls, ankle weights and more are used in this class. Each class focuses on a different part of the body.

Gentle Yoga ♥ to ♥♥

Enjoy exercising, breathing and relaxation. Designed to improve or maintain the health of the individual. Performing these exercises on a regular basis can help prevent the onset of some health problems associated with aging. Build and maintain muscle, flexibility and strength.

Zumba® Gold ♥♥

This easy to follow program lets you move to the beat at your own speed. It’s an invigorating community fitness dance class that feels fresh and most of all exhilarating. Zumba® Gold classes offer modified, low impact moves for active older adults. This format is great for beginners too!

TAC Fitness 

All classes are closed to the general public.

Muscular Strength ♥ to ♥♥

Improve your strength and range of motion. Weights, elastic bands, stability balls and more!

TRX Basic ♥♥ to ♥♥♥

This workout is for those new to TRX or needing a refresher.  It focuses on techniques, flexibility, balance and strength using foundational exercise in easy to follow progressions.

Yoga Core ♥ to ♥♥

This Yoga encompasses our entire midsection: the tummy, side waist and back.  Try this class that focuses on your core and will help you feel stronger and more stable.  Have a lower back issue?  Come learn how to stretch and release the tension there.  Want better posture?  Learn how to engage your core to be more upright.  Come learn the core of Yoga.

Flow Yoga ♥ to ♥♥♥

This Yoga class allows you to “Go at your own flow.” The practice is for all levels – beginner to advanced.  Personal support and guidance from the instructor allows all members to progress at their own pace while still benefiting from all that Yoga offers.

Butts and Guts ♥♥ to ♥♥♥

A 45-minute class designed to tighten and tone your core and lower body. Using hand weights and your own body weight, this class is a sure fire way to blast fat and to build strength.

Step Aerobics ♥♥ to ♥♥♥

What a great way to get your heart pumping and your muscles burning as part of a powerful and fun workout.

Classic Pilates Mat ♥♥

A simple, effective program that is a miracle workout.  Everything is easier when you build flexibility, abdominal and back strength.

Bars, Benches & Balls ♥ to ♥♥♥

This workout uses a variety of equipment and body weight for a fun and challenging whole body workout that builds strength, endurance and balance.

Vinyasa Yoga ♥ to ♥♥♥

This new class is the perfect Friday lunch break.  Balance your energy.  Build flexibility and strength while you flow and breathe.
